| Nothing Stays The Same A fire burns, fanned by the winds of time it slowly dies, what remains of the ash from the eternal flame, has nothing changed. Embers now wash away, in the pouring rain, and nothing but the memory will remain, from the eternal flame. Nothing stays the same. Ice blue embers spark from your empty eyes when did you realize, every fire dies, and nothing but the memory will remain from the eternal flame. Nothing stays the same. Carried on the wind to a place where memories reign, an echo of a life now gone, yet still remains We will never know the reasons why,the fire dies, but it surely dies, or when the time will come for us to say good bye, but we will say good bye. Even the eternal flame cant remain, and it is a shame, that nothing stays the same. Copyright ©2003 W.Garrett Garrison |
